StillPoint is a project which aims to deepen spiritual practice. It is resolutely focussed on practice rather than study and is therefore seeking to be experientially based rather than academic.
StillPoint is based in the city of Oxford and on the coast-moor edge of South-West England.
StillPoint exists to nurture and encourage the practice of Christian spirituality in a variety of ways but particularly focussing on the practice of Christianity as an eastern religion and exploring the contemplative and mystical streams of the Christian tradition, whilst positively engaging with other spiritual traditions and the arts.
Its aim is to serve both spiritually searching people who would not previously have considered the Christian way as a path to deepen their spiritual search, as well as people who would identify themselves as Christians but are looking for opportunities to learn practices that will deepen their interior journey.
StillPoint will do this in a number of different ways - through conferences, courses, classes and groupwork, the provision of resources, artistic and cultural events, and through spiritual direction and mentoring.
Please explore the site for more detail of these and information about upcoming opportunities to be involved.

“At the still point of the turning world. Neither flesh nor fleshless;
Neither from nor towards; at the still point, there the dance is,
But neither arrest nor movement. And do not call it fixity,
Where past and future are gathered. Neither movement from nor towards,
Neither ascent nor decline. Except for the point, the still point,
There would be no dance,
and there is only the dance.”
- T.S. Eliot, ‘Four Quartets’
